The swimming lessons of the Swim to Live 5 have been completed, and the results have confirmed the positive impact of our project on adolescents with ADHD! Over 24 weeks of swimming lessons combined with mindfulness training, participants showed remarkable progress, greater focus, improved emotional balance, and stronger social skills. Significant improvements in self-confidence, optimism, and resilience were observed, along with a positive trend in the reduction of ADHD symptoms, particularly in attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. These results show that blending physical activity and mindfulness can be a powerful way to support young people with ADHD, helping them build concentration, balance, and well-being both in and out of the pool

Final Steps, New Research, and Fresh Learning Tools

The Swim to Live project is concluding with inspiring results! Our final meeting in Ljubljana brought together dedicated professionals who shared valuable insights. We also heard the research findings from our expert, Petra Vrhovnik, confirming the powerful benefits of sport and mindfulness for young people. During the meeting, instructors were awarded their official Swim to Live Licences, and we finalized the upcoming Guidebook on Swimming and Mindfulness for Adolescents with ADHD. Plus, new training videos and practical tools are now available — supporting focus, resilience, and inclusion both in and out of the pool.
